Cube Controls GT-X2 vs Fanatec Podium Steering Wheel BMW M4 GT3

Cube Controls composite vs Fanatec FIA-homologated GT

The verdict

The Cube Controls GT-X2 wins on FFB fidelity and SimHub screen support, but the Fanatec BMW M4 GT3 is the only ultra-premium GT wheel with console compatibility and genuine FIA homologation.

Two ultra-premium GT wheels at roughly $1525 and $1600 respectively, each offering real motorsport provenance. The GT-X2's carbon fibre composite body, co-developed with J.A.S Racing, transmits FFB detail that no aluminium wheel can match, plus a 5-inch SimHub touchscreen. The Fanatec BMW M4 GT3 is an actual FIA-homologated race car wheel with 8-layer forged carbon and push-pull shifters. The GT-X2 is the better sim racing tool; the BMW is the more authentic replica.

  • Carbon fibre composite body delivers superior FFB throughput and high-frequency detail.
  • 5-inch SimHub-compatible touchscreen for extensive on-wheel telemetry.
